New European College offers an English Language Preparation program for students whose English proficiency test scores do not qualify for direct entrance into our programs.

The table below shows the equivalent scores of various English language proficiency tests, including IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, and Cambridge ESOL.

Blue scores mark the minimum requirement for postgraduate programs

Green scores mark the minimum requirement for undergraduate programs

For undergraduate students: If the English language proficiency requirements are not met, but the student has an IELTS score of at least a 5.0 and less than a 6.0, the student can join the English preparation program. When successfully completed, raising his/her score to the required minimum or higher, and provided that all other requirements for the program are met, he/she can enroll directly into the undergraduate programme.

For postgraduate students: If the English language proficiency requirements are not met, but the student has an IELTS score of at least a 5.5 and less than a 6.5, the student can join the English preparation program. When successfully completed, raising his/her score to the required minimum or higher, and provided that all other requirements for the program are met, he/she can enrol directly into the postgraduate programme.
