About New European College

Together with Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences, New European College offers one of the most modern and forward-thinking approaches to business education in Germany, with Bachelor, Master and MBA programs fully taught in English in the beautiful city of Munich. Authorized by the Bavarian Ministry of Sciences and Arts offering fully state accredited and recognized university of applied sciences degrees.

The Challenge:

Submit a strongly opinionated 300-word essay, explaining why you should receive a 15% scholarship for the first year of your studies.

Are you ready – to write a 300-word essay for a business school scholarship? Remember, this isn’t just any essay—it’s your golden ticket to a future filled with corporate jargon, business casual attire, and enough networking to rival a social media influencer. To help you craft a masterpiece that will leave the judges in awe, we present to you a foolproof guide:

  1. Start Strong: Open with a bang! A quote from Warren Buffett? Too cliché. A joke about the stock market? Perfect. “Why did the stock market blush? Because it saw the Dow drop!”
  2. Brag Responsibly: This is your chance to humble-brag like a pro. Mention your entrepreneurial endeavors, like that lemonade stand empire you built in third grade. Don’t forget to sprinkle in some buzzwords: synergy, leverage, disruptive innovation. You get the gist.
  3. Tell a Story: Everyone loves a good story. Share your journey from a wide-eyed freshman who couldn’t balance a checkbook to a savvy business student who can calculate ROI in their sleep. Extra points if you can make the reader laugh while doing it.
  4. Show Your Passion: Describe your burning passion for business. Use metaphors. “My love for business is like a well-diversified portfolio—constantly growing and impossible to ignore.” Make them feel the fire of your ambition.
  5. Keep It Concise: Remember, you only have 300 words. That’s shorter than a board meeting agenda. Be clear, be concise, and cut the fluff. Every word should work as hard as an over-caffeinated intern.
  6. End with a Punch: Wrap it up with a memorable conclusion. Maybe a witty call to action or a bold prediction about your future as a business mogul. “In conclusion, invest in me now, and watch your returns multiply!”

Follow these steps, and you’ll have an essay that’s not only informative but also a joy to read. Good luck, future business tycoon! Remember, the corporate world needs more humor—and it starts with you.
