Joshua will be supporting international students through their application process as they enroll and begin their studies at New European College. What brought you to New European College?
“I got to know our Chancellor Sascha through my old job in real estate, where I rented student housing and regularly interacted with students from NEC. He invited me to the annual welcome drink at NEC and I immediately fell in love with the University. Afterwards I decided to start my studies at NEC and soon after ended up working at NEC as well”.
- What’s something you want to learn or wish you were better at?
I wish I could play the piano! But, unfortunately, I am arguably the most untalented piano player on this planet.
- What’s your favourite place on earth?
That’s a tough question as there are so many beautiful places on this planet! But most likely Mallorca, especially the non-touristic areas in the mountains and the small beaches that only locals use.
- What’s something you’re proud of?
I am very proud of my cooking skills.
- What do you hope never changes?
I don’t wish for anything to not change. Change is important in life and furthermore, life would be boring if things never changed.
- What job would you be terrible at?
As I am afraid of heights, I would probably be terrible at every job that is related with heights or requires me to step on a ladder.
- What movie title best describes your life?
“Just go with it” – you never know what happens in the future. Just go with it and make the best out of it. - What’s the best way to start the day?
That is simple! A nice cup of coffee and a fresh croissant. Then a small workout before heading to the office.
- How different was your life one year ago?
Honestly, my life a year ago was not much different, then main difference being that I was stuck at home like most people during lockdown.
- What is special about the place you grew up?
I grew up in a nice part of Stuttgart. There are many things that make it special and unique, especially their culture. What has stuck the most was the work ethic
- Who has impressed you most with what they’ve accomplished?
My brother has always been a role model for me. His journey to success throughout the years has inspired me to become successful and gather as much knowledge as possible.
